Salisbury ESports League in conjunction with AGFA ESports is hosting 3 FREE workshops that will develop the skills and knowledge for young people (12-25yrs old) in the gaming world.

Please note: You do not have to attend all workshops. If you wish to attend multiple workshops, you will need to select a ticket for each workshop of interest when booking.

Venue has changed from Twelve25 youth centre to the new Salisbury Community Hub - 34 Church Street Salisbury (Helen Barnes Room)

Tickets Available:

  • Workshop 1 | Thursday 20 February 4-6pm: Model a 3D logo.

  • Workshop 2 | Thursday 27 February 4-6pm: Introduction to streaming/ recording game footage

  • Workshop 3| Thursday 12 March 4-6pm: Introduction to game footage highlight reels

*Please note, this is a repeat of the sessions conducted in 2019. Keep an eye out for more advanced workshops in Term 2 and beyond.

Workshop 1: Model a 3D logo.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to convert a 2D image into a 3D model in Maya. They will also learn how to UV unwrap and texture the 3D model and apply a colour, normal and emission map to the logo. Participants can bring their own logo or use an example we provide. No prior experience with 3D modelling is required.

Worksop 2: Introduction to streaming/ recording game footage.

Participants will learn the basics of live streaming and capturing in game footage. The session will introduce a variety of platforms used to live stream gameplay from both Console (eg PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) & PC based systems. Participants can bring their own consoles or use the consoles and PC’s provided.

Session 3: Introduction to game footage highlight reels.

Participants will learn the basics of taking captured Game Footage and creating their own Highlights packages to music using basic video editing skills and Davinci Resolve Software. The session will allow participants to learn & practice how to import captured game footage, manipulate and create clips from footage, assemble video & audio timelines to create their own Game Footage Highlights. Participants can bring their own captured Game Footage or use footage provided. Access to PC’s and software will be provided.

*Staff will be supervising the workshops venue at all times for the duration of the time. Please be advised these workshops are taking place in a public space, and therefore participants will not be directly supervised if they leave the workshop venue.

If your child requires more direct/active adult supervision we ask you to remain with them or nearby throughout the duration of the workshops.
