Our unit is working hard to fundraise to send money to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) Emergency Appeal for the Ukraine.

Providing service and working for peace is enshrined in our Guide Promise and Law, across every Guiding nation.

Guides in the countries surrounding the Ukraine have rallied to provide immediate and meaningful support on the ground: Polish Guides have taken Ukrainian Guides into their homes. Czech and Latvian Guides are working at Ukrainian border crossing posts providing food, water, clothes and blankets to those fleeing the conflict.

Additional funding will enable Guides to adapt their halls to offer shelter to evacuees, and fund further hot meals, hygiene supplies and bedding. WAGGGS will ensure the funds are well targeted and being used efficiently. We know that Guides can do a lot with very little!
