About this event

YOGA NIDRA defined .... A sleep based meditation which uses the breath and body awareness techniques to progressively bring the body to a deep state of relaxation.

During Yoga Nidra the entire body is flooded with the Relaxation response and excess stress hormones are released from the system. Muscles relax. Heart rate slows down and breath softens.

The body remembers what it is to be relaxed, open and soft.

Many people try meditation to help them relax as it has been promoted in a way to manage stress. However sitting may be uncomfortable or not appropriate for you.

At the same time it is extremely difficult to meditate when you are already stressed.

A person with PTSD is in a particular need of a systematic path- way to relaxation – Yoga Nidra does this.

Every Sunday Anna offers a Yoga Nidra session which requires no previous experience. All you need is a yoga mat (available on request), pillows (to support head, under knees and maybe lower back) and a light sheet as your body temperature drops as you rest on your mat.

'Meditation Creations' - a silent watercolour painting experience is offered afterwards. BYO cup for the herbal tea offered and bring a light quiet healthy snack (fruit/nuts).

Teenagers are FREE with a parent/grandparent. $20 for adults at the door.

Phone or Text to reserve a space - 0431 873 042.
