Welcome to our 2017 Law For Community Workers series - use this link to book if you want to attend via WEBCAST (use the other link if you would like to attend in person).

The Law for Community Workers series is aimed at providing community workers with an understanding of key areas of law and legal procedures that are relevant for their clients. The sessions also provide information about community legal resources, and community legal advice and legal assistance services - enabling community workers to make timely, appropriate referrals for legal advice and legal assistance, and to support their clients in navigating the legal system.

Session Description

"Tenancy Law for Community Workers" : This seminar will provide an overview of tenancy law: the relevant legislation applying to tenancies, what is (and is not) a tenancy, landlord obligations, security bonds, maintenance, rent arrears, rights of entry, termination of tenancies , the relevant Tribunal for disputes , and options for referring clients who need further assistance with legal problems.
