Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery is hosting a preview evening of the upcoming 21st Biennale of Sydney. The Teachers development lecture and networking session will include a short case study of Jamie North’s 2016 Biennale work that is now part of the Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery sculpture park collection.

For the 21st Biennale of Sydney, SUPERPOSITION: Equilibrium and Engagement there will be a series of in depth studio projects exploring Biennale artworks in context, looking in detail at artists’ work, and available through the website as activities that can be adapted to a range of teaching contexts. This talk will introduce these studio projects by looking at ideas and themes, practical activities, and curriculum frameworks, with an emphasis on how these practices and processes might speak to our local context.
