Event description
Leigh District Landcare, CCMA and the Golden Plains Shire are proud to invite you to a free screening of the new documentary “2040”.

About this Event

Join us on Monday the 18th November 2019 (6.30 for a 7pm start) at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre to watch 2040 followed by tea, coffee, slice and a chat.

Great door prizes from Sonny Cafe, Casurina Farms, Enviro Friends, Winchelsea Whole Foods and The Book Bird BookStore.

See you there!

Award-winning director Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film) embarks on a journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we simply embrace the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet, and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream.

2040 (1hr 32m) is all about what's possible for our future if every single one of us made the planet our first priority, today.

Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary with dramatised sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board of how these solutions could regenerate the world for future generations.

Optional gold coin donation at the door, money raised goes to Leigh District Landcare Group.

We look forward to seeing you there for the Bannockburn screening of this wonderful film that looks to the future, but is vitally important now.
