In the tradition of Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy, the Mothers’ Network warmly welcomes you to share a cup of tea at the 2024 May Morning Tea with mothers of current students, past pupils, and friends of All Hallows.

Our Year 10 students will serve tea using the beautiful teacups donated to the school by graduating pupils, in a tradition spanning many years.

Our event celebrates the essence of Mothers’ Day, and will return with the popular 2023 format of entertainment, a delicious morning tea, lots of chat, and raffles with a bounty of fabulous prizes.

Please take your time to read through the following FAQs. It will make purchasing your tickets much more straightforward.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

We are thrilled to announce the May Morning Tea for 2024, which will again be hosted at the Royal International Convention Centre (RICC).

When: Friday 17 May 2024

Time: Doors to the Great Hall will open at 9.30am for a 10.00am event start, and an expected finish time of 12.30pm. Please allow time to purchase the Limited Grand Raffle tickets.

Where: The RICC is located within the Brisbane Showgrounds at 600 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills. Entry is via The Plaza on Gregory Terrace.

HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS?

Tickets are $90 per person, plus processing fee, and online ticket sales commence at 12 noon Friday 22 March. A link will be emailed by the school to all school families, or can be accessed on the Parent Payment Portal, and School App.

Ticket sales will close at 12 noon on Wednesday 1 May, or when sold out.

You can purchase individual or multiple tickets. Please note, tables are capped strictly at 10 people.

If you are purchasing an individual ticket and would like to be seated with others from your daughter’s year level, simply nominate that year level. If you are new to All Hallows', this is a lovely way to meet people - we'll make every effort to seat you with other mothers in that year level.

If you are purchasing an individual ticket, but you wish to sit with friends, please nominate one of your party to be table captain, and we will seat you together.

PLEASE ask your table captain how you should refer to them in the booking portal - make sure the name used is consistent with the other guests on the table. (For example, married vs maiden name and abbreviations can cause confusion when we are finalising seating.)

If you are purchasing on behalf of others, please note, you MUST include the email address, mobile phone number, and dietary requirements of each person you are purchasing tickets for, AT THE TIME OF BOOKING.

We are confident that we can accommodate all who wish to attend the event, so please do take the time to get the details of your guests correct to assist our team.

HOW CAN I GET A TICKET IF THE EVENT IS SOLD OUT?

There is no waiting list. If the May Morning Tea is sold out, we suggest you regularly check the All Hallows School Buy, Sell, Giveaway Facebook page. If you do manage to obtain a ticket through this page, please email mmt.ticketing@gmail.com with the details of the exchange so our data can be updated for table seating.

WHAT CAN I DO TO BE PART OF THE MMT 2024 IF I MISS OUT ON A TICKET?

If you miss out on a ticket, please consider joining in the event as a volunteer. There is plenty to do in the weeks leading up to the event, and on event day (including washing and packing our teacup collection). It’s a great way to meet people and feel part of the community.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHERE TO SIT?

A list of names and table numbers, and a map of their locations will be displayed near the entrance to the venue on the upper–level concourse of the Royal ICC.

With our large number of guests tables, seating allocation is a massive task, and every effort is made to match table captains and guests, year levels, and any other requests made through the ticket sales platform.

WHO IS CATERING FOR THE EVENT?

Morning tea is catered by the RICC who have close connections with Australia’s finest farmers and producers which enable them to create seasonal menus driven by local produce and award–winning Australian ingredients. Dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options are available on request, made when booking your ticket.

WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

Please remember to provide any dietary requirements to the person nominated to purchase a ticket on your behalf. Gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, no seafood, no shellfish, nut free/allergy options are available – PLEASE REQUEST when booking your ticket.

IS THERE DISABLED ACCESS?

The Royal ICC is wheelchair accessible on both ground and upper levels and designated car parking spaces are located adjacent to the lift lobby in the Royal ICC car park.

Please provide details of access requirements in the field provided on the registration and email mmt.ticketing@gmail.com if you require mobility/wheelchair assistance.

IS THERE ANY PARKING AT THE VENUE?

Paid parking is available in the lower RICC carpark directly under the venue (access off Gregory Terrace) with 120 spaces. This is a public carpark and not exclusively available to guests of The May Morning Tea.
