This workshop is designed to give participants the understanding of the LMS assignment life cycle, from creating to marking assignments and finalising student results.

It will explain the relationship between the LMS Assignments, SpeedGrader and Gradeboook, and provide an overview of the key considerations when implementing complex assessment strategies in practice.

Topics covered in this session include:

LMS Assignments

  • SpeedGrader
  • Gradebook
  • Sections
  • Basic navigation

Intended learning outcomes:

  • LO1: Implement complex assessment strategies using the LMS Assignments 
  • LO2: Differentiate between LMS assignment types in regard to marking options available in the SpeedGrader 
  • LO3: Organise the Gradebook in preparation for a release of student grades
