About this Event
As part of the Mandurah Mazda Action Sports Games Freestyle Now will be hosting a skatepark competition for Skateboard, scooter and BMX competitors. There are many different classes for competitors to enter so be sure to check the information and schedules before you enter the competition.

Saturday 10th April – Skateboard 9am – 12:30pm
Beginner, Intermediates, Open, Pro
(This will give competitors enough time to leave Mandurah and head to Rockingham Rumble which starts at 3:30pm. If you are attending that comp be sure to got your registration done prior to arriving.)
Saturday 10th April – Scooter 1pm – 7pm
Under 10’s, Female, Beginners, Intermediates, Open, Pro
Sunday 11th April – BMX 9am – 7pm
Under 10’s, Female, Beginners, Intermediates, Over 35’s, Over 45’s, Open, Pro
SKATEBOARD SCHEDULE AND COMPETITION INFORMATION
9am – 12:30pm
Time schedules can change due to competitor numbers. Make sure you are early.
Divisions - Beginner, Intermediates, Open, Pro
Beginners – Younger and still learning – Each competitor gets 1 x 60 second individual run
- Warm up 8:50am – competition times 9:00am – 9:20am
- Total points from all 3 judges determines placing (highest points win)
- Beginner competitors must confirm they are in attendance and will be riding before 8:30am
- 10 participants only in beginners
Intermediate – Competitors with some good skills – Each competitor gets 2 x 1 minute individual run
- Warm up 9:20am – Competition times 9:30am – 10:00am
- Total points from all 3 judges and both runs determines placing (highest points win)
- Intermediate competitors must confirm they are in attendance and will be riding before 9:00am
- 10 participants only in intermediate
Open – Consistent and dialed tricks – Each competitor gets 2 x 1 minute individual run
- Warm up 10:00am – Competition times 10:15am – 10:45am
- Total points from all 3 judges and both runs determines placing (highest points win)
- Open competitors must confirm they are in attendance and will be riding before 9:30am
- 10 participants only in open
Pro – Consistent and dialed tricks. Riders are winning prize money – Each competitor gets 2 x 1 minute individual run
- Warm up 10:45am – Competition times 11:00am – 11:30am
- Total points from all 3 judges and both runs determines placing (highest points win)
- Pro competitors must confirm they are in attendance and will be riding before 10:00am
- 10 participants only in Pro
- Guaranteed $700 prize money to share. Percentage of entry fees go back to increase prize money. More competitors, more prize money.
This competition schedule gives a 30 minute buffer and give time for all skateboard presentations to be completed no later than 12:30pm.

Mandurah Action Sports Games skatepark competition judging criteria
There are 3 judges that use the below judging criteria to award points according to the judging criteria
Skateboard competition is both run added together to form your total score. Highest points win
Scooter and BMX will be best run counts.
Difficulty. Best score possible from one judge - 20 points
• Definition
Tricks that are difficult to execute
Technical tricks
Difficult lines within the park
Large gaps or high airs will also be taken into account
Diversity. Best score possible from one judge - 20 points
• Definition
A run consisting of various types of tricks (grinds, stalls and airs)
Using the park to its full capability (tricking on as many obstacles as you can)
Using the park in ways that other competitors are not (original lines through the park or tricking parts of the park that no one is tricking.)
The more varied the run and the more obstacles ridden the higher the score.
Consistency. Best score possible from one judge - 20 points
• Definition
A run that has been done without any feet touching by mistake or crashes.
Tricks done but not pulled smooth will also come into account with consistency points
The less touches or crashes and the smoother the run the higher the score the competitor will receive
