Community and Volunteering Day is an annual event by the Adelaide University Union during Orientation Week (O'Week), when thousands of students begin their university lives, to promote volunteering off-campus with a wide range of community organisations, helping new students get involved in good causes.

We're offering not-for-profit organisations the opportunity to hold a stall to connect directly with students on campus for a heavily discounted rate during O'Week. You'll be able to promote your organisation, recruit students for opportunities and explain the benefits of being involved.

An estimated 800-1500 students will attend the event, held outdoors on the Barr Smith Lawns.

Please register and pay for your organisation's stall via the ticket options below in order to reserve your place at the event, stalls sales will be closing 10 February, or when sold out.

FAQs

How do we get involved in the event raffle?

Students can win a range of prizes by engaging with stalls to validate their passport/raffle card. Each stall will be given a stamp to validate this card. If you'd like to donate a prize, and gain extra promotion, please register your interest on the booking form and we'll be in touch!

What if my organisation can only attend part of the event?

We require stalls to be staffed for the duration of the event (3 hours). If you can't attend for the full 3 hours please contact us regarding other O'Week options.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The event is based on the North Terrace campus and is accessible by public transport. There's no parking available on campus, however pay-parking is available on Frome Road and North Terrace. Once you've registered, you'll receive a detailed briefing.

What do I need to bring to the event?

We encourage organisations to decorate your stall by bringing pull up banners, posters and table cloths. We suggest you bring giveaways and brochures to make your stall as engaging as possible. Please bring equipment to set up your stall such as gaffa tape, masking tape, scissors and pins. You'll be provided with 1x 3x3m marquee, 1x trestle table and 2x chairs.
