2020 South Australian Screen Awards
South Australian screen makers across 21 screen craft and genre categories are set to share in $35000 of support and recognition in the annual SASA awards which celebrate early career creatives. Winners will be announced in an online ceremony hosted by Mercury CX on 4 December.
The presentation of the 22nd South Australian Screen Awards (SASAs) reflects the commitment of Mercury CX to showcasing and celebrating emerging talent.
The SASA Awards ceremony presentation will include special guests including the Honorable David Pisoni, MP, South Australian Film Corporation Chair Peter Hanlon and Adelaide Film Festival Creative Director Mat Kesting.
There is a $2,500 Grand Jury Prize awarded by the SAFC, as well as Best Emerging Filmmaker awarded by Carclew, and Independent Art Emerging Producer awarded by the Independent Arts Foundation.
Awards will be presented across 21 categories including and genre and craft. Genre categories include drama, comedy, documentary, animation and music video. All aspects of screen craft are represented, including acting, hair and makeup styling, editing, cinematography, writing, directing and producing.
The event will be introduced by Mercury CX CEO, Karena Slaninka, co-hosted by production executive Sandy Cameron and Chair Gena Ashwell. They will be joined by members of the Mercury CX Board along with our valued Award Category sponsors.
