Event description
A special Hackathon (Bris) event organised by Hear For You with the support of Audika. Come test your problem-solving and solution skills!

About this Event

Introducing the 2020 Hear For You Hackathon!

This is an amazing opportunity for young deaf and hard of hearing QLD people (15 to 30 years of age) to engage in creative problem solving and generating solutions to a specific challenge.

This event is made possible through the generous sponsorship from Audika.

We will be running it over two days during the school holidays and have the chance to come up with a solution to a challenging problem!

This is perfect for those who:

  • love problem solving and bouncing ideas in teams,
  • want to explore their talents to map out a future career
  • want to experience being involved in a sprint workshop with our legendary mentors on your team
  • Phonak Sound Field System and Live Captioning available
  • Auslan interpreters are provided on request.

The Hackathon will be facilitated by ECHOS - a specialist school of design thinkers focused on enabling participants to use their ideas, suggestions, and thinking using innovation. Check them out at https://schoolofdesignthinking.echos.cc/about-us/

Note: If you are on the NDIS, you may be able to use your funding to pay for the program costs.
