Event description

Description

The NCIS Research Lab is a three-day series of masterclass conversations designed to support HDR scholars across the ANU who are undertaking Indigenous Studies research topics, at all stages of their candidature. Participation in the Lab provides scholars with a valuable opportunity to develop their awareness of foundation research concepts, methodologies, theoretical frameworks and professional practice skills. We are keen to have each session engage the HDR scholars in practical exercises and discussion.

For HDR scholars, the intended benefits of the NCIS Research Lab include:

  • enhanced understanding and exposition of Indigenous Studies research;
  • shared learning and research networks;
  • expanded research capacity and confidence;
  • smoother research transitions during the thesis period; and
  • supporting professional development for post-graduate employment.

The 2019 LAB's overall theme is: ‘Technologies for Undertaking and Mobilising Research
