The Gerard Crock Lecture series honours the memory of renowned ophthalmologist, the late Professor Gerard Crock, inaugural Ringland Anderson Professor of Ophthalmology.
This year the lecture will be presented by Associate Professor Penny Allen, vitreoretinal surgeon and leader of The Bionic Eye project.
A/Prof Allen will present on The Bionic Eye and discuss how it offers hope for people with inherited retinal diseases, the most common cause of blindness in working-age people.
Drinks and canapes served on arrival, followed by lecture.
