Description

Where the wild things are!

Join us along Morialta's Fourth Creek in the top of the park where our wild things thrive

Many people love to visit Morialta for its lovely waterfalls, but did you know that in the top of the park is where our most threatened species live?

Did you also know the species considered one of the biggest threats to this habitat is a not very well known weed called Muraltia? Wow, isn't that weird! Morialta's Muraltia is the theme for this family friendly community event.

Join us to help restore this important watercourse area.

We will be working to improve habitat for native frogs and many of our local mammals along this beautiful creekline.

Come along, meet our local Natural Resources District Officer Catherine and learn first hand where this plant came from and why you don't see it anywhere outside this district. Find out all about why it is so important that we remove it from the park.

4WDs will ferry us all in to the site from 9:30am and we hope to have a special speaker at morning tea. 4WDs will be on hand to ferry anyone out and we shall all head out to be back to the car parking by 12:30pm.

Further details about the meeting place will be provided after registration.
