Description

City of Gold Coast Libraries presents 2018 Inside Scoop - seven exclusive events taking you behind the scenes of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, bringing you the inside scoop from the people in the know.

It's a unique chance to get the lowdown on our city’s preparations to host its biggest ever international event – and Australia’s biggest since the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

In our final 2018 Inside Scoop event, Dr Alana Thomson and Professor Ned Pankhurst will explore what life will be like on the Gold Coast after GC2018.

Will the Gold Coast ever be the same again after GC2018? Dr Alana Thomson will examine the potential impacts of the Games on our city when the athletes, spectators and media have returned home asking how the legacy of the Games is likely to influence civic pride and social cohesion for years to come. Professor Ned Pankhurst will focus on the future of the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct once the door is closed on the athletes’ village.
