Description

City of Gold Coast Libraries presents 2018 Inside Scoop - seven exclusive events taking you behind the scenes of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, bringing you the inside scoop from the people in the know.

It's a unique chance to get the lowdown on our city's preparations to host its biggest ever international event - and Australia's biggest since the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

In our fifth 2018 Inside Scoop event, Dr Karine Dupre, Associate Professor Architecture from Griffith University, gives us the inside scoop on the critical role of the new and upgraded venues for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Dr Karine Dupre explores the buildings that will host GC2018 - from Cararra Stadium to the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre - revealing the function of architecture in designing venues to deliver a premium experience for athletes and spectators, and the critical role of those spaces in the success of the Games.
