2018 Field & Game Australia National Carnival
Event Information
Description
The Field & Game National Carnival is Australia's largest clay target event with over 500 competitors shooting 150 targets over 2 days. After an extremely successful event at Wodonga Albury Field & Game in 2017, Bairnsdale Field & Game will host the event in 2018.
Format for 2018
This year's event will again be shot over 6 grounds instead of the traditional 3 grounds, this will allow the event to grow as we are no longer restricted to 504 competitors. The 6 grounds also reduce wait time between rounds as up to 180 shooters are out on the course at any one time. The other change is moving from 75 targets per day to 100 targets on Saturday and 50 targets on Sunday, this gets competitors out of the front gate many hours earlier than they ever have before.
The benefits of the new format:
- Ability to grow the event larger than the traditional 504 competitors
- Less time between rounds - less waiting
- 100 target Saturday - 50 targets Sunday
- More variety of targets
