Mini Coders’ - held at Brisbane Central State School. Cost per student: $60 Coding with Robotics is an introductory program using a custom designed, 3D printed, drawing robot called Axel. The program is designed to introduce kids to robotics and basic coding principles. Students learn how to write programs using MIT Scratch to control and operate the unique Axel robots! Students would benefit from having a prior knowledge of angles in two dimensional shapes and a basic knowledge of Scratch programming. The Mini Coders’ Festival is held over 4 half day sessions. The confirmation email will advise which session your child will be attending. Parents and school community members are invited to share students’, learning and completed tasks from the Festival at the Celebration Afternoon on Wednesday 8 August, 4:00 pm at Windsor State School.

Overview

The 2018 City Cluster Mini Festival is an initiative aimed at high achieving students in Years 3 and 4. This is an exciting program held at the beginning of Term Three. Each program runs differently so please read each program synopsis carefully. You will be advised of your child’s session / day by week 9.


  • Wednesday 18 July 
  • Wednesday 25 July 
  • Wednesday 1 August 
  • Wednesday 8 August – Followed by the Festival Celebration at Windsor State School commencing at 4pm.

 

 

  • Mini Coders’ - held at Brisbane Central State School. Cost per student: $60
