2018 ACTEBA Masters Singles State Championships

The Masters Singles event this year is a knockout event as per the following details:

REGISTRATIONS ONLY THROUGH EVENTBRITE - DO NOT TRANSFER DIRECTLY TO ACTEBA

o Date 21st & 22nd July
o To be eligible for entry in the ACTEBA Masters event an entrant must be aged 50 or above on the day of competition
o Single Elimination knockout format – Race to 6 (increasing later in the Tournament)
o Venue – Harmonie German Club
o 8 Seeds based on current rankings dated April 2018
o $30 Entry
o Winner & Runner-up qualify for the ACT Masters State Team (and are not permitted to play in Masters selection trials)
o Prize money will be distributed as per below table

Note:

Play commences at 11am both days, depending on final entries the Sunday may not be required

Draw will be completed Thursday 19th July and will be live streamed via FB Live

Prize breakdown based on 25 Entries

1st - 55% - $412.50

2nd - 25% - $187.50

3rd & 4th - 10% - $75 Each

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

• Anyone who has entered or intends on entering the selection trials of another state or territory will be ineligible to compete in the ACT selection trials.
• Entries for the Masters Singles are due by 19/7/18
• NO entries will be accepted without the accompanying fees. The relevant entry fees (see above) MUST accompany entries.
• The format, dates and prize money for the event have been based on an expected number of entries being received. The Tournament Director reserves the right to vary both the format,dates and prize money should this become necessary.
• Seeds will be taken strictly from the ACTEBA rankings as at April 2018.
• All entries are accepted under the provision that the entrant agrees to abide by all and any directions made by the Tournament Director and that their decisions will be final.
• Note that if you are selected to represent the ACT at the 2018 National titles you will be required to pay a deposit of $300.00 within 2 weeks of notification of your selection. If you do not pay your deposit within 2 weeks your place will be offered to the next eligible player.
• The draws will be e-mailed to all competitors who have provided an email address, and will also be available on the ACTEBA website (acteba.com.au) and Facebook page. Competitors will NOT be notified by phone. It is each player’s responsibility to ensure they are aware of what time their match is on. If you don’t have email, then make sure you contact the Tournament Director!
