What’s it all about?

Giant Rat’s Tail grass presents a serious threat to the environment and impacts on agricultural production, animal health and economic viability. Discussions will center around the identification of  weedy Sporobolus grasses (which includes Giant Rat’s Tail), preventing spread and establishment and variety of control measures depending on the infestation level & location.


Topics will include:

Identify Giant Rat’s Tail and apply basic biosecurity principles to prevent spread

Control Giant Rat’s Tail grass including the use of flupropanate


Who should attend?

Anyone interested in how to improve your land and pastures through the management of this invasive weed.  



This workshop is  supported by SEQ Catchments through the Regional Landcare Facilitator program supported through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme and the Queensland Government’s Healthy Country Program.
