The Queensland branch of the Australian Institute of Administrative Law (AIAL) is holding an occasional seminar series during 2017.

The details of the third seminar are as follows:

About the speaker

Peter Dunning QC was appointed as Solicitor-General of Queensland in 2014.

As the State’s second law officer and principal advocate, he appears as Counsel on behalf of the State of Queensland and represents the State in appellate courts such as the Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia.

Admitted to the Bar in 1992, Mr Dunning QC has been involved in a number of inquiries and inquests, including Queensland’s flood inquiry and the inquest into missing American divers, Tom and Eileen Longeran, who disappeared off the Great Barrier Reef in 1998. In addition to his role as Solicitor-General, he maintains a broad appellate practice.
