Event Details

The Tech Girls Movement, together with Diverse City Careers and Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Clubs invite you to join in the fun on Superhero Daughter Day!

This event, held to celebrate International Women's Day 2017 promotes technology as a career path of choice for young women. Last year's event was held in Brisbane and our 120 tickets were sold out in less than 2 weeks.

We invite Year 1 – 7 girls along with their parents or carers to have fun with their peers, meet some cool female role models in IT and learn more about what life as a tech girl is like!

The girls will learn about careers in the industry, participate in creative games and share afternoon tea together. No previous experience is necessary. Due to limited capacity, please be mindful of the number of adults per girl.

All tech girls will also receive a fabulous showbag to takeaway.

Superhero Daughter Day is a not-for-profit event organised by volunteers. The ticket price covers catering and showbags. If for some reason you are unable to purchase a ticket for your superhero due to your circumstances, please get in touch with us directly.

Thank you to Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Clubs and AIE (Academy of Interactive Entertainment), our event sponsors!

WORK180 is an international jobs network that connects smart businesses with talented women. We pre-screen every employer on our jobs board to see where they stand on pay equity, flexible working, paid parental leave, equal opportunities and a range of other criteria. This information is made public so everyone knows what to expect from the employer before applying for a job. We also recognise initiatives that support diversification of age, ability, ethnicity and sexual orientation and are evolving our criteria based on your feedback.
