Event description

Description

The Notre Dame Sydney Law Society holds the annual Social Justice lecture. The aim of the lecture is to raise awareness about a social justice issue, in order to provoke thought, and engagement from members of our society and attendees in general.

The previous lectures have been delivered by leading experts and professionals in their field. From Graeme Innes AM, Professor Gillian Triggs, the Hon. Linda Burney MP, and last by Frank Brennan SJ AO.

This year, we are honoured to have Moo Baulch deliver the lecture. Moo Baulch is the C.E.O of Domestice Violence NSW, a team that works to improve policy and practice responses to women, children and communities impaceted by violvence.

Moo has worked in Non-government, not for profit organisations in Australia, South-East Asia, the UK and Spain.
Moo believes that public awareness of domestic and family violence and sexual assault is at an unprecedented level and that the cross-sector and cimmunity partnerships are key to cultural and practical changes required for inclusive support.

She looks forward to the day when all children are taught in school about the intersections between discrimination, bullying, violence and healthy respectful relationships.

All proceeds of the lecture will be donated to a charity organisation.
