Event description

Description

Multicultural Health Week is a reminder to NSW Health service and Culturally and Lingusitally Diverse(CALD) communities of the importance of providing equitable access to information and resources to Austrlians from diverse background. Since 2009, the NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service (MHCS) has been successfully coordinating the NSW Multicultural Health Week (MHW) with funding and support from the NSW Ministry of Health in partnership with the Multicultural Health Services in Local Health Districts across NSW targeting health workers and CALD communities.

The Multicultural Health Communication Awards program was established in 2003 by the NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service (MHCS) for health staff and staff of health funded organisations including NGOs that produce multilingual health resources. The Awards Program aims to encourage good practice in multicultural health communication and to ensure that bilingual resources are recognised, promoted and distributed. Resources are also placed on the MHCS website.
