2017 MFC Academy Trials
Sun. 20 November 2016, 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm AEDT
The Academy Program allows players to both train (twice per week) and play under the guidance of a professional club coach. The Academy program also involves players participating in a skills camp in the April school holidays and the Kanga Cup in Canberra in July. ONLY PLAYERS WHO ARE COMMITTED TO TRAINING TWICE PER WEEK AND CAN ATTEND ALL GAMES ON SATURDAYS SHOULD TRIAL FOR THE ACADEMY. Trials and gradings for non-academy teams will take place in February 2017.
In 2017, Mosman FC is looking to expand the Academy program to include the following teams (subject to demand):
Boys/Mixed: U9 x 3, U10 x 2, U11x2, U12, U13
Girls: U9, U11, U13
Trials will be held in November to determine places in these teams.
All players who will be in these age groups in 2017 are invited to trial for the Mosman FC Academy Program.
Club coaches will conduct the trial process under the guidance of the club’s Director of Coaching, Andrew Taylor. Coaches will be looking at each player’s technical ability, attitude and willingness to learn and improve. In the initial trial, players will be assessed on the four core skills identified in the FFA NAtional Curriculum (1v1, running with the ball, striking the ball, first touch)
Following the initial trial, there may be a second trial on Sunday November 27th by invitation only if positions remain unfilled.
Players will trial for the age group for which they are eligible in 2017. The trials will be held at Georges Heights Oval. REGISTRATION IS ESSENTIAL AND ONLY THOSE REGISTERED BY 5.30pm FRIDAY 18th NOVEMBER WILL BE PERMITTED TO TRIAL.
