You are invited to the 2017 Diana Temple Memorial Lecture, presented by Professor Carol Armour.

This annual lecture honours the memory of Dr Diana Temple AM, a former member of the University of Sydney community and an advocate for the role of women in science.

About the presenter
Professor Carol Armour is an internationally renowned respiratory pharmacologist and Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, who heads the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. She is renowned for her research on disease mechanisms in asthma, for developing innovative health care services for chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes, and her tireless work to increase support for quality health and medical research and open new opportunities for postgraduate students and upcoming researchers.

Passionate about a pathway for the next generation, she has since 2009 as Associate Dean Career Development at Sydney Medical School, developed training courses in research, designed workshops for NHMRC career awards, organised mock interviews for fellowship applications and provided career advice to researchers.
