Description

Have you ever wondered what it takes to build a beautiful bathroom, how a garment is created for the runway or how industrial robots are built to assist with day-to-day jobs? You can find out at the 2016 WorldSkills Australia National Competition, Melbourne – the largest trades and skills showcase in the country.
WITNESS GREATNESS
Be inspired by Australia’s most talented young people as they go head-to-head in over 50 skills – including hairdressing, welding, fashion, bricklaying, cookery and more – with one goal in mind: to win a gold medal and a chance to represent Australia at the 44th WorldSkills Competition in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 2017.
REALISE POTENTIAL
Try your hand at a range of trade and skill-based careers at one of our many fun, hands-on Try’aSkill demonstrations. You can learn how to decorate cupcakes, lay a course of bricks or disassemble a real engine component using different types of techniques and tools required for the job.
DISCOVER POSSIBILITIES
Harness your newfound inspiration by speaking with industry experts and careers advisors about the education and career pathways available through vocational education and training at the Skills Village, WorldSkills Australia’s ‘one-step career shop’.
Supported by the Victorian Government and Federal Government Department of Education & Training.
Tickets must be presented upon entry.
