Event description

Being are proud to be bringing our annual Recovery Conference to Club on East, Sutherland, this June. This Conference is an opportunity for people with a lived experience of mental illness (consumers) to learn from one another and from experienced advocates about self-advocacy and systemic advocacy, and how they can advocate for safe, inclusive communities and stable housing that supports mental health recovery and wellbeing.

We will be sharing some of our learnings from BEING’s ‘There is no place like home’ Project. The project draws on input from over 500 mental health consumers across NSW to explore what home means to consumers and their mental health and wellbeing.

This year’s conference will include a variety of different presenters lending their expertise and experience of home, wellbeing and advocacy. Hands-on workshops will be facilitated by experienced advocates who will share tangible skills that attendees can use to address issues in their community. These presentations and workshops all aim to build on the skills within the community and assist consumers to champion change in the local area.

**Registration Extended** Registrations close Friday 03 June
