2016 Past Mothers' Reunion

The Directors of the St John’s Foundation have great pleasure in inviting you to the 2016 Past Mothers Reunion for mothers of former students of the College. This free of cost annual event is a wonderful opportunity to come together with other past mothers of the College.
Held in The Courtyard of St John’s Secondary Campus on Saturday 22 October 2016, the afternoon will include delicious food by Australian Catering Services, wines supplied by Sirromet and wonderful guest speaker, Dr Dimity Dornan, AO, Executive Director and Founder of Hear and Say, Brisbane. https://www.hearandsay.com.au/
Hear and Say is a program which opens the world for deaf children with the gift of hearing, listening, understanding, speaking and reading.
In July 2013, Dr Dornan initiated Human-Bionics Interface Frontiers (HBIF) which is a professional and industry group bridging the gap between people, bionic interfaces and science for the benefit of millions of patients worldwide.
Dr Dornan has also been granted a number of outstanding awards including: Member of the Order of Australia (1998); Australian Medical Association Award of Distinction for Services to Medicine (1999); Australian Social Entrepreneur of the Year (2005); Suncorp Queenslander of the Year (2010-2011); University of Queensland Alumnus of the Year (2011); Telstra Business Woman of the Year for Queensland (2011); Queensland Greats (2013); Dame of Honour, Order of St John (2013); Founder of Human-Bionics Interface (2013); Officer of the Order of Australia (2014), Lord Mayor’s Business Awards, Lifetime Achievement Award (2014). Brisbane Women in Business Award (Innovation and Technology) 2016; Women in Technology Life Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award (2016).Please feel free to invite a friend or contact a few mothers who were involved in the College at the same time as you and come as a group.
