Description

Overview

This free course, offered by Randwick TAFE - Sydney Institute Film Academy, will provide an introduction to Virtual Reality (VR) design principles, using Unity 3D as a powerful tool for creating highly immersive VR experiences. Course participants will get to play with a variety of VR gadgets (including Oculus Rift DK2, HTC Vive and Google Cardboard) and learn the most effective ways to create a simple and interactive VR world.

The course instructor will teach you the fundamental principles of the Unity 3D User Interface and show you how the main design tools are used.

Participants will work on several practical projects over the duration of the course. Each small project will build on knowledge gained, ensuring that by the end of the course, participants will be able to independently design a complete VR world to explore.

The course will be run over two Saturdays, beginning on the 3/12/2016 and finishing on the 10/12/2016.

Course Outline

Participants will:

  • Recieve credit towards the Certificate IV in Interactive Digital Media
