Due to popular demand, we're adding a second public forum to the consulatation stage of the City fo Hobart Art Prize review. So, if you're unable to attend the 14th October Forum in the Hobart Town Hall, this forum in the Lower Ground Conference Room offers you an alternative date.
After 27 years the City of Hobart Art Prize is undergoing a review and we’re asking you to contribute your ideas for the future.
The chance for change and improvement is within reach, so join us and have your say. We welcome people from all art forms, Art Prize exhibition visitors and everyone interested in future opportunities for the arts and culture in Hobart.
The forum will be hosted by urban strategist Richard Brecknock, with guest speakers and open floor discussion.
The objective of this project is to review the model for the City of Hobart Art Prize in alignment with the City's cultural strategy Creative Hobart, with its objectives to make Hobart:
1. A platform for cultural expression and creative participation
2. An incubator for creativity, innovation, excellence and diversity
3. As a connector of people knowledge and information.
