Printmaking Workshop - Landscapes through Monotype
Overview
Held in conjunction with Bridget Seaton's solo show Convergence at the Old Courthhouse complex in Bussleton this workshop gives you the opportunity to create unique oil-based prints with the spontaneous and painterly method of monotype. Using elements of the natural landscape for inspiration, explore exciting mark making techniques and discover ways to manipulate ink on a Perspex surface to create different textures, layers and tone. Bridget will demonstrate how she creates landscapes with this method both by hand and with the use of a printing press . Images will be provided for inspiration and you are free to work in a figurative or abstract way. The workshop begins with a short tour of the exhibition outside of public visiting hours. Suitable for any level. All materials supplied. Please bring an apron.
