On the occasion of the 16th Week of Italian Language in the World, Italian and Creativity: Brands and Traditions, Fashion and Design, the Italian Cultural Institute is pleased to present the documentary entitled #DesignCapital – The seven days which make of Milan the capital of design (running time 52 minutes).
The work which was shown for the first time in Milan a few days in the lead up to the Salone del Mobile (14-19 April), highlights the excellence of Milan as design capital of the world. It is an independent production by Studiolabo, directed by Andrea Cuman, Massimiliano Fraticelli e Patrizio Saccò. #DesignCapital was produced in collaboration with Civica Scuola di Cinema, and with the patronage of the Comune di Milano. The documentary is a stimulating virtual tour of the most significant developments, latest products, upcoming trends, exhibitions, brands and inspiring designers of Milano Design Week.
Architect, designer and journalist, Sonia Audoly, will give an introduction to the documentary, and will also share with the public her opinions and impressions on the most sought after place to be for new inspirations. Sonia has worked as lifestyle, art, design and fashion editor for Elle Décor and Elle Italy, Vogue, Interni e Case da Abitare, as well as freelance interior stylist for various design brands.
