This interactive session aims to provide mental health practitioners with the knowledge and skills to deliver support to adolescent and adult clients on the autism spectrum who have co-occurring mental health conditions.

Topics to be covered include:

  • An extension of knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and its functional impacts
  • Strategies to accommodate individual differences and improve outcomes
  • Key considerations for assessment and management of mental health for people on the autism spectrum
  • Mental health treatment modifications for people on the autism spectrum
  • Case studies to apply knowledge and strategies
