Event description

Description

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence is a global campaign dedicated to ending gender-based violence and raising awareness about the impact of violence against women. In support of this campaign, we are hosting a film screening and panel discussion.

Grace Under Fire, a documentary short from the Victorian Women’s Trust, shines a light on the hidden epidemic of workplace sexual harassment facing young women in regional and rural Australia. Inspired by the book Whispers from the Bush by Dr Skye Saunders, Grace Under Fire tells the story of 20-yearold law student Grace Bramwell, who was forced to confront workplace sexual harassment in her hometown in Gippsland, Victoria.

Panellists include:
• Dr Skye Saunders, Academic and Author, Australian National University
• Sandra Morris, Manager Health Promotion, Women’s Health in the North

Please note, the documentary includes content about sexual harassment in the workplace. If you are affected by sexual harassment, sexual assault or family violence, contact 1800 RESPECT National Counselling Helpline, Information and Support on 1800 737 732.

We ask that you arrive at 6.45 for a 7pm start.
