Description

10th Sino-Australian Research Symposium: Precision Medicine in Metabolic Health and Cancer

Join us for a celebration of 10 years of collaboration between Sydney Medical School and Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

This very special research symposium will feature 10 researchers from each institution speaking on the topic of:

"Precision Medicine in Metabolic Health and Cancer"

The theme of precision medicine is timely as it links the art of applying the evidence base from health and scientific research to personalised patient care.

Increasingly, the primary focus of medicine is to keep people healthy for as long as possible and to prevent disease onset and progression. Precision medicine is a medical model that proposes the customization of healthcare, whereby medical decisions in assessment and care, practices, and products are integrated and tailored to the needs of the individual patient at a particular point in time.

Where: Sutherland Room, Holme Building, Science Road, University of Sydney, Camperdown

When: 11th July, 8:30am - 5:00pm & 12th July, 8:30am - 2:00pm
