Event description

Description

Much progress has been made over the last 10 years to achieve gender equality in the workplace and companies have benefited as a result. Ranking only 37th in the annual gender gap index*, Australia has some way to go to bridge the gap behind the rest of the world. But does equality come at a price?
Australian of the Year 2015 and domestic violence campaigner Rosie Batty takes a closer look at how true gender equality can be achieved – with equal distribution of power and resources between women and men – both at work and at home.

The Panel
Listen to our panel discuss what more is needed to accelerate change in the battle for gender equality, moderated by Emmy award winning journalist Sara James. She also reports on US politics for ABC News Breakfast with her featured segment American in Oz.
