Event description

This 1 day course is for the Nationally Recognised qualification "RIIWHS202D Enter & Work in Confined Spaces". Join us for a fun day learning how to identify a Confined Space, conduct all of the required checks and complete all of the paperwork as required by law. Touch and use different types of equipment like harnesses, connectors, life-lines, rescue kits, gas monitors etc that you're likely to use in industry. You'll be identifying hazards in the workplace and controlling them to ensure everyone's safety.

There's a mix of classroom and practical exercises and you will be setting-up and using equipment to enter a confined space, as well as the rescue equipment required for conducting your confined space operation safely under direct supervision. You will check the gear and handle it as you build your confidence under the eye of our accredited trainer / assessors.

After successfully completing this one day course you will have the required skills and knowledge to Identify hazards, control the risks in relation to the confined space job, check and use height safety and confined space rescue equipment and generally gain a better understanding to keep yourself and others safe whilst working as part of a confined space job.

When you successfully complete the course you will be issued with a "Statement of Attainment" for RIIWHS202D Enter & Work in Confined Spaces and then a plastic photo ID card will be posted to you.

See the frequently asked questions section below for information about ID, age restrictions and other important info.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes. You are required to provide your Drivers Licence or Passport to verify your identification.

To qualify for this unit you must be at least 16 years old.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Driving to the facility is the easiest way. There is free off-street parking available throughout the day.

What can I bring into the event?

As you will be operating within a simulated workplace it is important that some PPE requirements are met. Please wear enclosed footwear and sturdy, appropriate clothing. Please bring your lunch as there are no shops close by. There's a fridge, microwave, cold filtered water and tea and coffee facilities.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Please email us at admin@sitesafetyservices.com.au

What's the refund policy?

Where Site Safety Services (AUS) doesn't receive at least 48 hours notice of cancellation a 25% cancellation fee will apply. No refund is given for non-attendance or cancellation on day of training.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes please. (Or at least have a copy of it on your phone)

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes. We do however discourage this as changes to the participants lead to class time being taken up by administration / enrolment changes. Please ensure that the person attending has their drivers licence or passport as proof of identification.
