Canberra and surrounding regions are set to host the first ever Honey Weekend celebrating local honey, bees, and apiaries. The weekend provides for attendees to attend honey tasting masterclasses over three days from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th August.

Honey is not just honey...Join Honey Sommelier Jessica Locarnini in a guided honey tasting masterclass. Using honey produced in the capitol region by local beekeepers you will learn how the different appearance, aroma, taste and textures of different honeys can be described and how different honeys can be paired with so much more; than just toast and porridge.As a special bonus Cormac Farrell (the Parliament House beekeeper) will share some interesting stories of the Parliament house beehives as well as hints and tips for supporting all pollinators in the Canberra region.Honeys are proudly supplied by Nemori Honey Bees, 8 Frame Honey, Isabella 1822, The Naked Beekeeper and Grazing.
