TED is a nonprofit organisation devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading”. The annual TED Conference invites the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak in front of audiences to spread ideas that will change the world.

TEDxMelbourne, licensed under the TED umbrella, is a local, self-organised program of events that brings people together to share in a TED-like experience. They produce four ticketed events per year, which include 3-9 speakers delivering 18 minute “TEDxTalks,” live performances, and recorded video to spark deep discussion and connection in small groups.
