Why does an old picture show when I share my event on Facebook?
How to update what Facebook displays when your event page is shared
Does an old image display when your event is shared on a Facebook wall? It's likely that Facebook has not "crawled" your event page since you last made changes. Here's how to manually force Facebook to crawl your updated event page!
To get started, you'll need to copy the URL for your event page, so that later you'll be able to paste that URL into Facebook's Debug tool (which we explain how to do in step 2 below).
You can find the URL for your event page by logging in to your Eventbrite account, clicking on My Events at the top of the page, then clicking View to the right of your event's name (under Quick Links) to go to your event page. Copy the URL for your event page from your browser's address bar.
To force Facebook to crawl your event page, go to Facebook's Debug tool by clicking here. Paste in your event page's URL and then click the Debug button.
Note: This Debug tool is built primarily to assist web developers in configuring their sites to work with Facebook, so don't worry about any error messages that might display after you've clicked Debug. All you care about here is that you've forced Facebook to re-index your event page with all the updates you've made.
Anytime someone shares your event page on a Facebook wall from this point on, the updated event information and images will display! Unfortunately, there is no way to update existing wall posts, so you'll want to delete any existing posts and then re-share your event page to display the updated info.
