Choosing a payment processor for your event

Eventbrite offers a number of options for processing credit card payments. Here's your handy guide to choosing which payment processor to use for your event!

Credit card processing 

- Fee: 3% per transaction

- Significantly higher attendee purchase conversion rate than PayPal or Google Checkout

- Attendees stay on the Eventbrite site for payment

- No set-up time or cost

- PCI compliant (learn more)

- Funds sent via mailed check (in the US) or bank transfer five days after the event ends

PayPal

- Fee: usually 2.9% + $.30 per transaction

- Attendees redirected to PayPal website for payment

- Attendees are often prompted to log in to PayPal to pay with a credit card

- Receive funds immediately into PayPal account

Google Checkout

- Fee: usually 2.9% + $.30 per transaction

- Attendees redirected to Google Checkout website for payment

- Receive funds immediately into Google Checkout account

Authorize.net

- Fee: varies

- Use your existing merchant account
