Women in Energy - Perth

The Perth Branch of the Australian Institute of Energy has launched a ‘Women in Energy’ network to bring women together to inspire and support each other in building successful careers in the energy sector.

Building on the success of the informal Women in Sustainable Energy group, founded by Kirsten Rose in 2012, the formation of the network responds to increasing demand from women in the broader energy industry to connect.

Women in Energy aims to:

  • increase the visibility and profile of women in the energy industry;
  • provide an opportunity for women in the industry to build their networks and share their knowledge and experiences;
  • provide a platform for advocacy on gender diversity and inclusion in the industry; and
  • increase retention of talented women in the industry and help them develop their careers.
