Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute

Established in 1989, Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute (NACI) is Australia’s oldest and Aboriginal owned and governed multi-arts gallery.

It exists to foster a greater understanding of the diversity and cultural richness of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people throughout Australia.

The word Tandanya - in Kaurna language (pronounced Gar-na) - translates to Place of The Red Kangaroo, that honours, respects and share’s the cultural values of Australia’s traditional owners and custodians.

Tandanya NACI is a not-for-profit entity situated on Kaurna Country at 253 Grenfell Street Adelaide, South Australia.
