Sequenza Ensemble

Separately, we are four full-time music-makers whose practice regularly sees us performing at the highest professional level.

Together, our passion for making great music, our fascination for ancient instruments and historically informed performance practice, and our drive to innovate, have brought us together to form Sequenza.

Sequenza’s brief is twofold:

• to showcase the extraordinary repertoire of the Baroque and earlier musical periods, right back to the Middle Ages, with an emphasis on historically informed performance practice;
• and to foster the creative development of extraordinary new composition and hybrid old/new music projects.
