SDSN Australia/Pacific - Monash Sustainability Institute and ACFID
The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) is a global network that mobilises scientific and technical expertise to solving the world’s sustainable development challenges. The SDSN was launched by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in August of 2012 and is directed by Professor Jeffrey Sachs at Columbia University. SDSN Australia/Pacific coordinates activities of regional SDSN members and is hosted by the Monash Sustainability Institute.
The Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) unites Australia’s non-government aid and international development organisations to strengthen their collective impact against poverty. Founded in 1965, ACFID currently has 128 members and 8 affiliates operating in more than 100 developing countries. ACFID administers a voluntary, self-regulatory sector code of good practice that aims to improve international development outcomes and increase stakeholder trust by enhancing the transparency and accountability of ACFID Member organisations.
