Michelle Ward

Michelle Ward has an extensive background in visual arts including painting, photography, graphics, film, animation, multi-media and mixed media, having first completed Certificate in Art & Design in London, UK. She then returned to New Zealand and undertook her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Elam School of Fine Arts in 1998 majoring in Graphic Design and 2D Animation. Later she continued her education in 2005 with digital media, interactive media, 3d animation, film-making and graphics at Southland Institute of Technology in Invercargill New Zealand.

Over the past 15 years Michelle has worked with children and adults facilitating workshops around New Zealand and in Australia. For 7 years she managed and ran the North Shore Children's Art Club in Mairangi Bay, New Zealand, and continued to create a Mobile Art workshop for those living in Rural communities where parents and children could come along and find their creative soul. She has a passion for teaching art and encouraged others to discover their creative potential that may have been hidden for sometime.

Michelle is originally from Auckland, New Zealand however has also lived in the UK, Mexico and for the past 9 years she is residing locally on the Gold Coast and exhibits her work at the Urban Paradise Gallery in Surfers Paradise. She is also the founder and Editor of Artinzene Online Magazine and also has an online gallery on this website of her work. For more information check out www.artinzene.com/magazine.
