Holyoake, the Australian Institute for Alcohol and Drug Addiction Resolutions is a non-profit community based organisation. Holyoake provides information, counselling and support to individuals and families impacted by addiction. Individual and group services are provided to people from all walks of life by professional employees with backgrounds in psychology, social work, counselling, art, drama, music therapy and other social and behavioural sciences.
DRUMBEAT® is a Holyake program and the world's first structured learning program using music, psychology and neurobiology to reconnect with ourselves and others. The Program was first developed in 2003 by Holyoake while working with young Aboriginal people and their Elders in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. After showing tangible benefits in engaging young Aboriginal men, the Program was expanded and shows similar success with people of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds.
