Our mission is Helping to discover your Family History.
The Society was formed in 1978 as a non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit organisation to foster genealogical research throughout the State. We strongly believe in the importance of making Queensland records available and easily accessible for those researching family history in our State. The society has records from all of Australia, Ireland, the United Kingdom and other countries.
GSQ is a friendly organisation which welcomes new members, visitors and volunteers to our Library and Resource Centre in East Brisbane - and our five branches in the South-East Region of Queensland.
